Architectural Design

In Architectural Design, students gain knowledge and skills specific to those needed to enter a career in architecture and construction or prepare a foundation toward a postsecondary degree in architecture, construction science, drafting, interior design, and landscape architecture. Architectural design includes the knowledge of the design, design history, techniques, and tools related to the production of drawings, renderings, and scaled models for commercial or residential architectural purposes.
NEWS & REMINDERS
11-26-12 - Sketch Up Project
Students will use Sketch Up to create an outdoor event venue of some sort. This could be a skate park, a football stadium, water park, concert venue, or anything they can come up with.
Requirements:
Must include color
Must be detailed
Must be complete
This project is due on Wednesday/Thursday the 28th/29th

10/8 - 10/17 - Custom Home Project
Students will be designing their dream home following the steps given below:
Step 1:
- Make out a list of all the rooms you want in your house
- Draw out FOUR different bubble diagrams showing how your house could be laid out
Step 2:
- Pick your favorite bubble diagram and use it to create your house plan. This will show exactly where all the walls are and how the house will be designed
Step 3:
- Download the Project File below and start designing your house on the given lot. Remember to organize and layout your house so that it is accessable and useable in the given space
9/19/12 - Architectural Styles Mini Poster Project is due by the end of class on the 19th/20th. NO LATER THAN FRIDAY 21st.
